Our journey so far
I (Jason Kenneally, the director) established Country Farm Supplies in August of 2020. Although the journey to it began way back in 1992. My passion for farming came from my grandfather, who owned a thriving farm and contracting business in East Cork, James (Jimmy) Northridge. Growing up, I spent every opportunity at the farm, learning off my grandfather. I learned to drive a tractor at the age of 11. A Ford 7610 2 WD. Every day after school, I would go to the farm before going home. Without this or my Grandfather, CFS would not be here. My business mind came from My Father. Through the years, he has helped to support and prepare me for the highs and lows of running a business (there are many). He is always there for advice along the way.
My Wife Aoife and 3 kids, Ronan, Caelan and Conall support me through everything. My passion for farming is what drove me to setting up Country Farm Supplies but my family keep me driven to grow it further. My kids are eager to get in involved wherever they can. Often helping to pack orders in the warehouse. They too are tractor mad! Aoife remains supportive and listens through all of my crazy business ideas. After getting the kids to sleep in the evenings, My Mum Deirdre would come out to the warehouse and help me with packing orders/organizing the warehouse. Her support has been undeniable since the very beginning.
Country Farm Supplies started off selling Clothing and Footwear (in the spare room of my house). In just 3 years, we have grown to be one of Ireland's leading retailer of Agri products.
Our company aim is to be a one stop shop. Where you can get all of your supplies, under the one store. I believe we have achieved that.
Since the start of CFS, I would post videos on social media, discussing and showcasing products. People began to engage and follow along with all of these videos. To this day, people often refer to me as 'the man that does the videos'.
As we are a family run business, our aim is to keep CFS as personal as possible. I think that personal touch has aided in our growth as a company massively. I am involved in every aspect of the company. From customer service to dealing with customers that call to our stores to work on our website. I am living and working out my passion.
We have a loyal and growing customer base who keep us pushing on, to offer the best service and experience as best we can. In just 3 short Years, we have over 35,000 customers Nationwide and have shipped over 50,000 orders across Ireland & the UK. We have over 9,000 products online and two warehouses in Cork.
We're constantly growing and learning and this is down to the customers who support us but also down to the team we have. They're truly what makes us stand out. Thank you taking the time to read this and for being with us on this journey.
